About this course

Marketing is the process of identifying, understanding, and satisfying the needs and wants of customers, by creating, communicating, delivering, and exchanging value propositions that benefit both the customers and the organization. Marketing is a vital function for any business that wants to survive and thrive in a competitive and dynamic market.

Marketing encompasses the following elements:

– Marketing Mix: The set of controllable variables that an organization can use to influence the customer’s response, consisting of the four Ps: product, price, place, and promotion.

– Marketing Strategy: The overall plan that guides the marketing activities and decisions of an organization, based on its goals, objectives, and analysis of the market situation, such as customers, competitors, and environment.

– Marketing Research: The systematic and objective collection, analysis, and interpretation of data and information related to the marketing problem or opportunity, to help the organization make informed and effective marketing decisions.

– Marketing Segmentation: The process of dividing the market into distinct groups of customers who have similar characteristics, needs, wants, and behaviors, to enable the organization to tailor its marketing mix to each group.

– Marketing Communication: The process of conveying the organization’s value proposition and messages to the target market, by using various channels and tools, such as advertising, public relations, sales promotion, and social media, to inform, persuade, and remind the customers.
